Server was so nice and the food was quick. The BBQ is good - slightly above average. Cucumber kimchi was slightly salty. Overall great and would come back again! Also military friendly!!
I had heard this was a fabulous restaurant. I ordered online and went to pick it up. I ordered the mild sausage plate with mac&cheese and green beans. The only thing correct and eatable as the green beans. The mas&cheese was hard as a rock. I ordered mild sausage and I got hot. I am already back and work and I cannot bring this back to correct it. So I stuck eating it or doing without.
Thanks alot.
I got the 4 leg sampler with potato salad, pinto beans, fried cabbage, corn bread and peach cobbler. The first glaring thing was that the "potato salad" was more like mashed potatoes mixed with a little mustard/mayo. The pulled pork was dry. The brisket and the rib were ok but not mouth watering. The fried cabbage was good, they added chopped brisket for flavoring but the cabbage was smothered not fried and way too mushy for my taste. The jalapeno/jack sausage was the best thing on the plate. Pinto beans were good as well, they had chopped brisket in them as well. Cornbread was good but needed a little butter as it was a little dry. The cobbler was horrible! The crust was dense and doughy I just ate the peaches.
This is a new location for them so they are working out the links so we will go back and try it again once they settle in.
The employees were great though!
I recently visited Wonderful, a gem that truly captures the essence of Texas comfort food, and I was absolutely delighted by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of slow-cooked barbecue and spices filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. First off, the ribs here are nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection, each bite was a delightful blend of flavors and textures. But the star of the show was undoubtedly the baked mac & cheese. Creamy, cheesy, and baked to a golden perfection, it was comfort food at its finest. The pinto beans, seasoned and cooked to just the right texture, were a great side that added a homey touch to the meal. Petty’s BBQ is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Texas barbecue. The combination of a warm, inviting atmosphere and dishes that are prepared with care and expertise makes it a standout. I can't wait to return! Highly recommended!
Very friendly environment, and the food was ready pretty quickly! I had the ribs, brisket, Mac, and green beans Everything was really good flavor-wise, but honestly nothing in the platter tasted fresh. It gave “leftover”. The banana pudding was really good!! Would definitely recommend, just suggest you call ahead to make sure your food (especially the meat) is hot and fresh.
My business partner are in Killeen from Kentucky. Kentucky has some great BBQ and this place holds it's own. Well done. One of the owners, Matt, greeted us and staff took over from there. The first thing you should know is that Matt is …
I don’t ever write reviews but this is by far the best bbq I’ve ever had. I’m usually not a BBQ fan but now that I’m pregnant it’s all I want. I was not ready for the juicy brisket or amazing banana cheesecake pudding! I am one happy camper. Pro tip: put the cucumber kimchi on ur sandwich 🤌😏 …
Excellent food. There was a good crowd for lunch. They don't charge for using a credit card and don't force tipping down your throat. The establishment was clean. Food was great. The kimchi cucumbers and coleslaw were amazing. The fries were OK. The macaroni & cheese was bland.
